The Snickerthon

The Snickerthon is a multi-distance, multi-lap running event held at Chasewater Country Park and Visitor Centre, Pool Lane, Burntwood, WS8 7NL. The event offers a choice of distances and uses a looped course where each lap is 5K around the country park.

The course runs on a mixture of paths and footpaths and is described as relatively flat. Participants may see wildlife such as wild deer while on the route. Chasewater facilities are available for participants and spectators and include a cafe, toilets and a children's park, with views across the park. Note that there is a charge for parking at Chasewater.

Aid stations on the course provide refreshments and other usual race goodies. Each finisher receives a medal and there may be a Snickers bar offered. Entry prices listed for the event range from GBP 26.00 to GBP 42.00. Age restrictions apply for some distances with the marathon listed for entrants aged 18 and over, the half marathon for entrants aged 17 and over, and the 10K for entrants aged 16 and over.
