The Snickerthon

The Snickerthon is a multi lap running event at Chasewater Country Park and Visitor Centre in Burntwood, WS8 7NL. The event offers several distance options and is held as repeated laps around a set circuit in the park.

Available distances:

  • 5k (ish)
  • 10K (ish)

Each lap measures about 5K. The course follows a mixture of paths and footpaths and is described as relatively flat. Wildlife such as wild deer may be seen from the route. Chasewaters facilities are available to participants and visitors, including a cafe, toilets, and a children’s park, plus park views.

Aid stations on the course will supply food and refreshments. Every finisher receives a special medal and there may also be a Snickers Bar supplied at the finish. There is a parking charge at Chasewater for those who drive to the venue.

Some past participants noted a relaxed atmosphere and scenic surroundings. The event is organized by How Hard Can It Be Events and uses a multi lap format so runners complete the chosen distance by repeating the 5K circuit. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
