The Coal Aston Gala Chase is a trail running event organised by Dronfield Running Club that takes place as part of the Coal Aston Gala. It features an off road trail race and a separate family fun run across the Moss Valley in Derbyshire.

The main trail race covers 4.7 miles (7.5 km) with about 600 ft (180 m) of climb and follows public rights of way through farmland and woodland. The route includes uneven ground, potential trip hazards, low hanging branches and a small ford crossing. Runners who cannot complete the course are asked to return to the start and finish.
