Whaley Waltz Fell Race

Whaley Waltz is a fell race held on 27 June 2026 in Whaley Bridge. The course is 5.8 mile long with 274 m of ascent. The event is listed as category BS, PM and is restricted to participants aged 16 and over.

The race starts along the main road in Whaley Bridge and uses a trial start before the town carnival parade so runners can warm up while the carnival takes place. Registration and the finish are at Whaley Bridge Bowling Club, 43 Buxton Road, SK23 7HX, about a five minute walk from the start. Race numbers are collected on the day.

The entry fee is £12 with an additional booking charge of £1. The organiser offers a £2 drinks voucher to runners who travel by public transport, walk, cycle, run to the start, car share with three or more occupants, or use an electric vehicle; vouchers are valid at the bowling club on the day.

Entrants agree to the event terms which reference Fell Runners Association requirements and the standard race disclaimers that participants accept the hazards of fell running and enter at their own risk. Refunds are issued only at the organiser's discretion and booking fees applied by third parties are non refundable. Transfers and deferrals are normally permitted up to 48 hours before the event.
