The Wentworth Castle Trail Runs take place on Wednesday 10 June 2026 at Wentworth Castle Gardens in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. Distances offered:

  • 5 km (minimum age 11)
  • 10 km (minimum age 15)

Registration opens 04/07/2025 and closes 07/06/2026. Standard entry prices listed are £24 for the 5 km and £26 for the 10 km. Options that include a custom event T-shirt are listed at £36 for the 5 km and £38 for the 10 km. Entry with a T-shirt adds a separate T-shirt fee of £12 during registration.

Venue and services

Wentworth Castle Gardens is described as a Grade I registered landscape covering 500 acres with parkland, woodland and historic landmarks such as the Rotunda, Serpentine Bridge, and Stainborough Castle. The course uses parkland paths and woodland trails; separate route maps are provided for the 5 km and 10 km courses. Live chip-timing is provided by Timing Up North. All finishers receive a medal, a merchandise item, and a snack and drink. Free on-site parking is available.
