This is a guided trail running weekend in the Peak District, organised by Running Adventures and based at Nab View Bunkhouse at Ollerbrook Farm, just outside Edale. The accommodation sits in the valley with wide views and is a short walk from Edale train station.
The main group run follows the Edale Skyline route along classic peaks and ridges. The approach is a steady pace, combining hiking the hills with running on the flats and descents. On the afternoon after the main run there is time for relaxation or local walks.
On the following day there is an optional steady loop from the bunkhouse over nearby trails around Whitemore Clough.
Throughout the weekend the host offers guidance on trail running technique, fuelling and pacing.
This event takes place on rugged terrain with significant elevation and an unforgiving environment. Participants must have a good level of fitness and be able to run for prolonged periods at 10 min/mile (6:15 min/km) pace on flats and descents.
