Reported elevation gains by distance include 50 mile = 11,059 ft, marathon = 5,505 ft, 32 mile = 6,663 ft and half = 2,738 ft. The course is mainly trail with approximately 90% trail and 10% road or lanes.

All distances are self navigation. Organisers provide tracking, chip timing, checkpoints, water stations and food provisions; hot food is listed for ultra entrants and cold food for all distances. The 50 mile route has a mid-way food point at Longtown. Medical cover, a physio, back runners and on-course support are available. GPX files and an emergency route map are provided and a GPX download is listed for each distance.

Cut-off examples given in event information include 26 miles = 12 hours and 50 miles = 24 hours. In severe weather organisers may apply safety cut-offs. Trail runs nearby

A four-race summer cross-country league in Herefordshire and nearby venues, held on Wednesday evenings from June to July 2026. Entry is limited to first-claim members of specified local clubs and closes on 31 May 2026.

Trail races in the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) offering Marathon and Half Marathon distances plus bergen versions with a 45 lb pack. Routes run on mountain trails with substantial ascent and finishers receive medals and mugs of tea.

An AM fell race of 18 km with 1200 m ascent on 7 June 2026 around summits in the Brecon area. Map and compass skills and full kit are required, entry is limited and there is a 120 minute cut off at checkpoint three.

A point-to-point 15 mile trail race along the Offa's Dyke footpath between Hay-on-Wye and Kington with three water stations, relay options at mid-race handover points, and age-group prizes.
