Pegasus The PIGUM Half 2026

The PIGUM Half is a new 15 mile trail event that runs between Llangattock Escarpment and Abergavenny. The route crosses the Sugar Loaf and passes between the ridges of the Llanwenarth, Deri and Rholben hills in the Black Mountains, offering panoramic views toward the Brecon Beacons and south Wales. The advertised elevation gain for the route is 3,248 ft, and the terrain is described as 80% trail and 20% road.

There is one fully manned and stocked checkpoint on course that provides snacks, fresh fruit, hot and cold drinks, seats, power banks and music. The organiser states there are no time limits for the event. Mandatory kit includes appropriate footwear, a one litre water carrier, a mobile phone, a headlamp or other light source for tunnels or night use, a foil blanket, a waterproof jacket and a rucksack.
