A short fell race in Burnsall with a steep 274 m climb over 2.4 km. Entry on the day is available for £6 and junior races run alongside village sports.

An 8.8 km (5.5 mile) fell run around Pen Y Gwely reservoir near Rhydycroesau, featuring tracks, paths and fields with 225 m of climb. The course is partially marked, entry is £7 on the day and the minimum age is over 15.

A circular 30 km fell race around Belper with chip timing and full route signage. The course uses footpaths, bridleways, public roads and parts of the Midshires Way and is open to walkers and runners.

A five mile trail race at Pennington Flash on 23 August 2026, organised by Leigh Harriers AC at Leigh Sports Village. The event is licenced by TRA and offers affiliated and unaffiliated entry categories with published prices.

A roughly 7-mile undulating multi-terrain trail race around Adel Woods, Scotland Woods and Meanwood Park in Leeds on 23 August 2026, organised by Valley Striders AC with race HQ at Old Leo's and an entry limit of 450.

A 10 mile trail race through Radnor forest in Mid Wales on 23 August 2026, held in aid of the Special Care Baby Unit in Hereford. The route reaches Black Mixen at 2130 ft and includes forestry roads, moorland and tree covered single track.

Take on the Trunce 8, a classic Peak District fell race starting and finishing at Oxspring Playing Field. The 6.2 km route climbs 190 m and entry is on the day for £3, with a junior 3 km race for over 10s at £1.

Golf Ball Fell Race is organised by Rossendale Harriers on 26 August 2026. Entry is on the day and runners should carry the recommended FRA kit, which may be checked depending on conditions.

Take on the classic Holcombe Two Towers fell race on Wednesday 26 August 2026 in the South West Pennines, a challenging 4 mile course with 400 m of climb through rugged moorland. Expect steep trails, great views and a lively community atmos..

A pop up evening running event in Kirkstall, Leeds offering 5k and 10k routes along canal-side paths. Entry is available on the night or online and runners receive a jumble medal plus food and drink options.

A non stop 130 mile canal towpath race from Liverpool to Leeds run under UK Athletics rules. Open to runners aged 20 and over, the event has a 40 hour limit and a limited number of unsupported entries with regular feed points.

Tackle a classic Pennines fell race in Pendleton on 29 August 2026. The 8 km course packs 457 m of ascent across rough terrain, with on the day entries and homemade cakes and a cosy village pub to reward you.

A trail running event around Skipton offering distances from 13 to 50 miles along Pennine Way and Dales Way sections, with checkpoints, mandatory kit requirements and live trackers for ultramarathon entrants.

Nottingham Running Festival at Nottingham Racecourse in Colwick Country Park features a Half Marathon, 10K, 5K and junior race, supports Nottinghamshire Hospice, and includes medals, free photos, chip timed results and an event village.

The Plum 10k is a recurring 10 kilometre race run by Pershore Plum Plodders, with results recorded across multiple years and the next listed date on 30 August 2026. The race is part of the club's wider programme of runs and events.

A fell race at Powder House Field near Hebden on 31 August 2026 covering 1.50 miles 3.20 km with about 400 feet 244 meters of climb, featuring a steep ascent, top running and an uphill finish.

A 7.4 km mountain race near Cilcain with 375 m of ascent held alongside the village show. WFRA insured, with separate junior races across multiple age groups and specific junior distances.

September 2026

A 10 km fell race in Eyam on 1 September 2026 with a 3 km junior race for ages 11 to 16. Prizes are supplied by the Barrel Inn and a BBQ and bar are available in the courtyard.

The Kilnsey Crag will take place in Bradley on Tuesday 1 September 2026.

A final-season evening fell race of about 8 km (5 miles) over Brown Wardle, Middle Hill and Hades Hill with 360 m ascent. It uses a 24 minute cut-off to Brown Wardle, requires mandatory FRA kit and offers pre-entry with set fees.
