Race You To The Summit
Race You To The Summit is a traditional fell race held from the Summit Inn in Littleborough, OL15 9QX. The course covers 4.3 miles with over 800 ft of ascent and is run to the White House pub near Blackstone Edge, where runners must touch the pub wall before returning to the Summit. The event is a fell race rather than a trail race and is conducted under Fell Runners Association rules.
The event includes junior categories for Under 9s, Under 11s, Under 13s, and Under 15s, with Under 17s running with the senior field. Entry fees are listed as adults £8 pre-entry and £10 on the day; under 17s are free. The race has a long history and is now 59 years old. The 2026 running is scheduled for 31 October 2026 (Halloween) and entries open in 2026.
