Overview
Shepshed 7 is a measured, single-lap seven mile race held through the private grounds of Garendon Park by permission of Persimmon Homes. The course is traffic free, fully marshalled and chip timed. Entrants must be at least 16 years old and the main race is limited to 400 competitors.
Event details
The event includes a main 7 miles race and a separate Fun Run. There are commemorative t-shirts for all 7-mile finishers and spot prizes in the main race. Entrants for the main race receive trophies and prizes across multiple male and female age categories and team results, with one individual prize per person.
Practical points:
- Entry fees: affiliated £22.00, unattached £24.00.
- Fun Run: entries on the day, fee £5.
- No entries on the day for the main race.
- Entry closing date for the event is 30/10/2026; transfers are available until 25/10/2026.
- Entry deadline to guarantee chosen T-shirt is 5pm Thursday 25th September.
- Facilities include toilets, changing, limited free onsite parking, and hot and cold refreshments. A guided warm up is provided by Darcy Fitness.
Course records are recorded at 36:00 for men and 40:48 for women.
