The route is traffic free, countryside terrain and is described as undulating and multi-terrain. The race is fully marshalled and uses chip timing.

Entrants must be at least 16 years old for the 7 mile race. Maximum entry is 400. There are no entries on the day for the main race. A separate fun run is available with on-the-day entries at a fee of £5.
