Pierrepont Plod – Summer 2026

Pierrepont Plod is a trail running event held on a looped course around Holme Pierrepont Country Park and Watersports Centre. The event is a six hour challenge in which participants may attempt to complete as many laps as possible over the full six hours or may choose to complete a single lap. The course includes a stretch alongside the rowing lake and features mud, roots and puddles. The route is described as fairly flat with the occasional small lump.

Holme Pierrepont is prone to flooding, so organisers have prepared two alternative loops with different start locations. Both loops are roughly 5.44 km per lap with elevations of 22 m and 27 m respectively. One start is on the north side of the regatta lake near the cafe and the other starts from a car park to the south. Organisers will prioritise the south route and will confirm in the weeks before the event which route will be used. The published entry price for the event is £41.50.
