Petzl Halloween Night Runner Delamere Forest

The event is a night trail running race held at Delamere Forest with Event HQ and the start and finish at the Delamere Forest Visitor Centre, Cheshire (CW8 2JD). The course is fully marked with reflective directional signs and is run on established forest trails that include some potentially muddy or slippery sections.

Distances offered include:

  • 10k, one lap
  • Half Marathon, two laps
  • 1k kids event, free with medals for finishers

Entries include a glow in the dark finisher medal, drinks at the finish and at halfway on the half marathon, electronic timing, and free high resolution event photographs. Entry fees are listed as £32 for the 10k and £39 for the half marathon; entries close either at 12 noon on the Friday before the event or when the event fills.

Runners must carry a good quality head torch or hand held torch to light the route. Trail or fell shoes with an aggressive tread are recommended because of slippery sections. Warm clothing is advised for winter conditions and a wind or waterproof jacket is recommended. The minimum age for the main races is 16 years on race day. Fancy dress is actively encouraged for the event, which follows a Spooky Halloween theme. Dogs are not permitted to run in the races but may attend the start and finish area as supporters.
