The Beyond Manchester running event takes place on July 18, 2026. The event offers a 25km trail run and a 55km ultra distance. Both courses start and finish in the Castlefield area of central Manchester. Participants can download GPX route files in advance.

The course is waymarked with signs. The route is a mix of urban and natural paths, including city streets, canal towpaths, and sections of the Irwell Sculpture Trail. Terrain includes footpaths, parks, woodland trails, and canal paths, with some steps and hills. Parts of the route may be muddy depending on weather. For the 55km route, 78% of the surface is paved and 22% is unpaved. For the 25km route, 75% is paved and 25% is unpaved.

There is a strict cut-off time, with all participants required to finish by 19:00.

Entry includes a finisher's medal, chip timing, a fully waymarked route, access to feed stations with food and drink, and medical support.

Participant Information
