THE SPOOKTASTIC HALLOWEEN 5k
The event is a night time 5k run held on Saturday 31st October 2026 at Herons Reach in Blackpool with a start and finish at the showground area. The trail route passes through parkland features and named locations such as Wizards Creek, Witches Claw, Broomstick Alley, Spooky Forest, Sleepy Hollow, Stanley Park and nearby landmarks including Blackpool Victoria Hospital and Blackpool Zoo. The course is multi terrain with uneven surfaces, areas of water and mud; caution is advised and trail shoes are recommended.
Entrants must pre-book and pay online in advance. Adult entry (18 plus) is £16.50, junior entry (15 to 17) is £12.50 and child entry (11 to 14) is £10.50. All major debit and credit cards are accepted and a confirmation email will be sent when an entry is processed. Entry on the night may be available and will incur a £5 extra charge.
On event night participants check in at the registration marquee on the showground to collect an event pack and a bib with a pre-attached chip timing tag. Head torches are compulsory. Facilities at check-in include toilets, an information kiosk, baggage storage and a key safe. Medical cover, full insurance and a fully signed route are provided. All finishers receive a glow in the dark medal and there are drinks and small refreshments at the finish. Awards are presented to first places in adult, junior and child male and female categories.
