Halloween 5k at Herons Reach, Blackpool

The event is a themed 5k trail run held on Saturday 31 October 2026 at Herons Reach, Blackpool. The route follows multi-terrain park paths and includes named sections such as Wizards Creek, Witches Claw, Spooky Forest, Sleepy Hollow and Broomstick Alley. Location references on the map include Lawson's Showground, Stanley Park, Blackpool Zoo and nearby roads and venues.

The trail has uneven surfaces with areas of water and mud. Competitors should take caution on varying surfaces and are advised to wear trail shoes. A head torch is compulsory for all participants. Fancy dress is optional. The route is fully signed and distance markers are provided at 1 km, 2 km, 3 km and 4 km.

Registration must be pre-booked and paid online in advance. Adult entries (18+) cost £16.50, junior entries (15-17) cost £12.50 and child entries (11-14) cost £10.50. Entry on the night may be available but cannot be guaranteed and will incur a £5 surcharge. Major debit and credit cards are accepted and a confirmation email is sent after processing.

On arrival participants check in at the registration marquee at Lawson's Showground to receive a bib with a pre-attached chip timing tag. The event provides medical cover, full insurance, toilets, baggage storage, a key safe, and refreshments. All finishers receive a glow-in-the-dark medal and awards are presented to first male and female in adult, junior and child categories.
