Tunnel Vision (Night & Dawn Runs)

Tunnel Vision is an out-and-back running event held on Brampton Valley Way, off Scotland Road in Market Harborough. The route is 5 mile in length and includes a passage through the Oxendon Tunnel, which is stated as 422 m long. The event runs over two nearby dates in early November 2026 with separate Night and Dawn runs; entrants may enter one event or both.

Race details and facilities

The minimum age for competitors is 14 years. Entries and transfers close seven days before the event. Pre-event collection of race numbers, timing chips and pre-ordered race t-shirts is available the day before the race at Harborough Leisure Centre (LE16 9HF); remaining items are allocated at on-site registration. Parking is free at the nearby leisure centre.

The course surface is hard packed track and is suitable for road or trail shoes. Runners are required to carry a head torch or small handheld torch for the tunnel section, where the surface has ruts and puddles. Professional first aid will be available at the start and finish with access to the course, and volunteers will be positioned on the route, at the tunnel entrance and at the turn-around point.

Prizes are listed for the top three male and female finishers. All finishers receive a commissioned event medal; medals from the two runs are designed to interlink. Free digital race photos and post-race refreshments are provided after each run. The event supports local foodbanks during 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
