Tunnel Vision night run Market Harborough

Tunnel Vision is a pair of out and back runs held in Market Harborough on Thursday 5 and Friday 6 November 2026. The event offers a single 5 mile course that passes through the Oxendon Tunnel, a 422 m former railway tunnel that is very dark inside. The tunnel will have mood lighting but participants must use a headtorch or small handheld torch. The tunnel surface has ruts and puddles.

The route is on hard packed track and is suitable for road or trail shoes. Professional first aid cover will be available at the start and finish and volunteers will be positioned on the course, at the tunnel entrance and at the turn point. The title sponsor Petzl will attend to demonstrate headlamps.

Entry fees are £23 for a single race and £40 for both runs. The minimum age for competitors is 14 years and entries and transfers close seven days before the event. Pre-event registration and race pack collection can take place on Wednesday 4 November at Harborough Leisure Centre. Free parking is provided at the Leisure Centre courtesy of Everyone Active.

All finishers receive a specially commissioned medal and the top three male and female finishers receive prizes. Medals from the two runs interlink when both are completed. Digital race photos are provided free after the event. The event offers an opportunity to donate to local foodbanks supported by the organisers.
