Hoofs, Horns and Paws Charity Run

The Hoofs, Horns and Paws Charity Run is a timed event held in Manchester. Participants run along an out and back course that follows the River Mersey within Chorlton Water Park. The route consists of a 5.3 km (3.28 mile) lap on an off-road riverside towpath.

The course is flat with very little elevation gain or loss. This event follows a flexible format where participants choose their own distance by completing as many or as few laps as they wish within a 7-hour time limit. Available distances include:

The event is held at Hardy Farm, which serves as the race headquarters. Facilities on-site include toilets and changing rooms. Parking is available for 75 cars at Hardy Farm on a first-come, first-served basis, with additional parking located at Sale Water Park and around Chorlton Water Park.

A well-stocked aid station is provided throughout the day, featuring a variety of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options such as bananas, dates, sweets, and cake. An evening pop up event at Cromwell Bottom Nature Reserve offering 5k and 10k race options, on-site registration and pay on the day. All runners receive a jumble medal, hot food, a drink and a sweetie bag.

A 4.9 miles / 7.9 km fell race in Grindleford through Hay Wood, Longshore Estate and Padley Gorge, featuring a river crossing near the finish. Open to runners aged 16 and over with basic entry options and tickets on sale May 2026.

An 8 km fell race around Millers Dale on 19 June 2026 with 180 m of ascent, following the Monsal Trail and returning via Cheedale stepping stones. Entry is limited to 200 and the minimum age is 18.

A hilly six mile fell race in Stalybridge on 19 June 2026, routing to the Trigg point on Hobson Moor. The event is listed as the second race in The Tour and is based at Tameside Sports Trust, Copley Recreation Centre.
