Trail Running calendar near Pulborough 2026-2027

IOW Backyard Ultra is planned for 24 October 2026 at Robin Hill on the Isle of Wight. Organised by Wild Isle Events, it is presented as the island's first official Backyard Ultra and shows a free registration of interest option.

A 30 mile out and back along the River Stort and Lee Navigation on mostly flat grassy and gravel trails, with checkpoints every five miles, electronic timing and a finisher medal; trophies for the top three men and women.

Wight Lines is a mixed terrain coastal run at Milford on Sea with views of the Isle of Wight. Runners choose distances from 5K to ultra marathon and complete 5.3 km laps, with on course aid and a finishers medal for one lap or more.

Experience a timed anti clockwise loop around Canvey Island featuring sea wall paths and coastal trails. This self supported adventure includes a unique pub check point and follows the scenic King Charles III England Coast Path.

Off-road marathon and half marathon south of Canterbury on scenic trails and country lanes. The Marathon requires navigation and mandatory kit; OpenTracking is available and £1 from each entry supports the Kent Neuro Therapy Centre.

Looped 7K and 10K courses near Chalfont St Peter and Gerrards Cross let entrants choose distances from 7K to 40 mile ultra on the day, with aid station, drop bag access, pacers, crew support and medical cover.

A 5 mile timed, self-navigated night trail on 30 October 2026, run mostly through forest and downland. Fancy dress is encouraged with trophies and a post-run dessert for winners, and a tail runner will sweep the course.

Single-loop 50K trail race around the Chilterns starting and finishing in Berkhamsted on 31 October 2026. The fully marked route includes three full aid stations, one water point, and a required kit list for runners.

Experience a festive 6.66 km Halloween trail run starting and finishing at a local brewery in Chelmsford. Participants enjoy a costume focused event with medals and drinks for finishers in a social atmosphere.

Nighttime trail event in Alice Holt Forest on 31 October 2026 offering 5 km laps in 5, 10 and 15 km routes, with an outpost on each lap, self serve water and free parking. Dogs and headphones are not permitted.

An evening Halloween run at Hogmoor with kids races, 6.6K and 10K laps plus a 6.6K canicross. The course has sandy hills, mud and shallow water and races run after dark so a torch is advised.

A coastal 15.3 km, 10 km and 5 km beach run on West Wittering Beach with water stations, chip timing and finisher medals. Routes use sandy flats at low tide and feature clear signage and first aid support.

Trail races at Wendover Woods on 1 November 2026 include marathon, half marathon, 10k and a junior run on hilly, multi terrain forest trails with route maps and a six hour cut off.

Two days of marathon and half marathon races around Caldecotte Lake in Milton Keynes on 6 and 7 November 2026, with multi-lap clockwise courses, on-course water and toilets, enforced time limits, and bespoke finisher medals.

Take on flat, scenic laps along the Thames towpath in Walton on Thames with flexible starts and distances from 5 km to ultra. Limited places, aid stations, digital results and medals make this a friendly, festival style challenge.

A sell-out trail race from Goodwood Racecourse into the South Downs National Park with 21.3 km, 16.5 km and 12 km options including canicross. The route mixes forest tracks, bridleways and single-track trails with open hilltop views.

A night trail run at Stonor Park near Henley on Thames with three route choices from 7 km to 17 km. Headtorch required and headphones and dogs are not permitted.

Nuclear Fallout is a winter mud and obstacle event near Brentwood, Essex offering 6 km, 12 km and an advanced 24 km plus lapped course with dozens to hundreds of natural and man made obstacles, chip timing and finisher medals.

Experience a scenic trail run through the Bedfordshire countryside starting from Leighton Buzzard. Choose between a classic half marathon or a metric distance featuring canal towpaths, woods, and rolling hills.

A twilight off-road 10 km through a reputedly haunted parish of Dorset, starting and finishing in the park in front of Eastbury House. The route passes Chettle woods, Bloody Shard Gate and Chettle Long barrow.
