The Maverick Dark Oxfordshire Trail at Stonor Park, 7 November 2026
The event is a night trail run taking place on the Stonor Park estate in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, within the Chiltern Hills. Routes run through estate land that is home to fallow deer and occasional wallabies.
Three waymarked routes are offered:
- Long: 17 km, +494 m
- Middle: 13 km, +361 m
- Short: 7 km, +100 m
The course is fully marked and fully timed, with online results and event photography available. There is free parking, a bag drop area, food and drink at the start/finish area, and a metal finisher medal. Toilets are available only within the start/finish area. Outposts are provided on the Middle and Long routes for snacks, gels and electrolyte; there is no outpost on the Short route.
Participants should bring essential kit including a head torch or chest torch, phone, trail shoes, rain coat, long sleeve top, foil blanket and a refillable water bottle or running pack. The event aims to be cup-free at outposts so runners are asked to bring a cup or bottle. Headphones are not permitted. Dogs are not allowed on Dark Series events. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult. Organisers ask that participants complete their route in roughly 2.5 hours to reduce pressure on marshals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
