The Maverick Dark Oxfordshire Trail 2026

The event is a night trail run held on the Stonor Park estate near Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire. Routes run on estate trails in the Chiltern Hills and require participants to use a headtorch. The course is fully marked and the event is fully timed. Free parking, online results, event photography and a metal finishers medal are provided.

Three route options are offered:

  • Long: 17 km, elevation +494 m
  • Middle: 12 km, elevation +361 m
  • Short: 7 km, elevation +100 m

There is no outpost on the Short route. The Middle and Long routes each have one outpost that provides snacks, gels and electrolyte. Outposts do not provide pre-filled water cups; participants should carry a reusable cup or bottle. Organisers encourage a plastic free approach and Hydrapak Speed Cups are available to purchase.

Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult. Headphones are not permitted so runners remain aware of their surroundings. There are no toilets along the route; toilets are available in the start and finish area. Entry fees vary by route and online entry closes shortly before the event. Bolt Round the Holt is a forest trail race at Alice Holt Forest on 26 April 2026 offering Half Marathon, 10k, 5k and a Junior Run while raising funds for GUTS to support bowel cancer detection and care.

Join NOT the London Marathon Run 2026 on Sunday 26 April in Walton on Thames for a flat, certified lap course along the riverside towpath. Choose marathon, half or a 7 hour timed challenge, enjoy flexible starts and a commemorative medal.

A spring, group-led trail run of around **10 km** through bluebell woods near Tring in the Chiltern Hills, with Run Leaders, trail-running tips, bag storage and nearby cafes. Dog friendly with cani-cross equipment.

A 7 hour lap-based time challenge along the River Thames at Wraysbury with flexible self-paced distances from 3 km up to 50 km, signed course, aid stations, medals, goody bags including vegan options, and distance pins for longer efforts.
