The Maverick Dark Oxfordshire Trail
The Maverick Dark Oxfordshire Trail is a night trail running event at Stonor Park, Henley-on-Thames in the Chiltern Hills, held on Saturday 7 November 2026. Routes run across the Stonor Park estate, which is home to fallow deer and wallabies, and all courses are set within the estate grounds.
Three route options are available:
- Long route: 17 km, +494 m elevation gain
- Middle route: 13 km, +360 m elevation gain
- Short route: 7 km, +99 m elevation gain
There is no outpost on the Short route. The Middle and Long routes each have one outpost offering sweet and savoury snacks, gels and electrolyte for top-ups. The course is fully marked and fully timed, with online results, event photography, food and drink at the venue, bag drop and a metal finishers medal. Free parking is provided.
Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult. Dogs are not permitted. There are no toilets on the running routes; toilets are available in the start and finish area. The event aims to operate cup-free at outposts, so participants should bring a cup or refillable bottle. Essential items listed by the organiser include a head torch or chest torch, phone, trail shoes, rain coat, long sleeve top, foil blanket and water bottle or running pack.
