The Maverick Dark Oxfordshire is a night trail running event organised by Maverick Race. It takes place at Stonor Park in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire (RG9 6HF) on 29 November 2025. The event starts and finishes in Stonor Park and is set on estate trails within the Chiltern Hills. The organiser notes the location has wildlife including fallow deer.

Facilities at the event village include free parking, bag drop, food and drink stalls, event photography, fully timed results and online results. Toilets are available only within the start/finish area; there are no toilets along the running routes. Headphones are not permitted and dogs are not allowed at this Dark Series event. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult.

Routes and logistics

The event offers three marked routes with stated elevation gains and outposts as follows:

  • 17 km - elevation gain +494 m
  • 13 km - elevation gain +361 m
  • 7 km - elevation gain +100 m

There is no outpost on the short route. The middle and long routes each have one outpost (approximately 7 km into the course). Outposts provide sweet and savoury snacks, gels and electrolyte; participants should bring a reusable cup or bottle because pre-filled water cups are not provided and water is self-serve from barrels. Transfers out of the event are permitted once; the last day to transfer is the Monday before event day. Recommended personal items listed by the organiser include a headtorch or chest torch, trail shoes and a water bottle or running pack.
