The Maverick Dark Oxfordshire Trail : Stonor Park, 7 November 2026
The Maverick Dark Oxfordshire Trail is a night trail running event held at Stonor Park, Henley-on-Thames, in the Chiltern Hills. Routes run across the Stonor Park estate, which is split by the River Thames and is known to be home to fallow deer and occasional wallabies. Runners use head torches and follow fully marked trails set within the estate.
Available routes:
- Long: 17 km (+494 m, £49)
- Middle: 13 km (+361 m, £39)
- Short: 7 km (+100 m, £25)
There is no outpost on the Short route. The Middle and Long routes each have one fuel and hydration outpost offering sweet and savoury snacks, gels and electrolyte top-ups; outposts are intended as a supplement to what participants carry. There are no toilets on the run routes; toilets are provided in the start and finish area. The event offers free parking, full course marking, timing with online results, event photography, food and drink on site, a bag drop area and a metal finisher medal. Organisers aim to keep outposts cup-free and ask participants to bring a cup or bottle.
Entries are subject to a small booking fee. Online entry closes Wednesday 4 November 2026 at 12:00 noon; on-day entries may be available if the event is not sold out. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult. Dogs are not permitted. Headphones are not allowed. Organisers request that runners complete their route within about 2 hours 30 minutes to reduce marshal time. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
