Halloween Trail Run in Chelmsford

The Chelmsford "Boos" Co Halloween Trail Run is a themed sporting event held on October 31, 2026. The course covers a distance of 6.66 km and is situated around the Chelmsford area. This event prioritizes a festive atmosphere over strict competition, with a significant focus on participant attire and social interaction.

The route is provided via GPX or Strava files, supported by a narrative guide for navigation. As the event takes place at a licensed brewery premise, participation is restricted to individuals aged 18 and over. The gathering point and registration area are located inside the brewery.

Participants are encouraged to wear costumes, as the event includes specific rules regarding fancy dress:

  • A five-minute time penalty is applied to runners not wearing a costume.
  • The top three Halloween-themed costumes are selected by a panel of marshals and participants to receive trophies.
  • One overall winner is chosen by the organizers to receive a mini-keg.

Upon completion of the trail, finishers report their arrival to a marshal to record their time. Participants receive a medal and can exchange their race number at the bar for a drink and a packet of crisps. First aid personnel are present on-site during the event.

Regarding logistics, there is no on-site car parking available before 6:00 pm, and space remains limited after that time. Suggested alternatives include parking at The Vineyards or on local residential streets. The organizers recommend arrival via walking, cycling, or local bus services. A small area inside the bar is designated for bag storage. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
