Galloping Grind 10k Trail Run

The 3rd Galloping Grind 10k trail run

The Galloping Grind returns for the 2026 season with the Easter Egg Edition. This event features a specific distance:

  • 10 km trail run

The course follows a predominantly anti-clockwise route through trail terrain. Because this is a dusk race, all participants must wear high-visibility or reflective clothing. It is also mandatory to carry a mobile phone with emergency contact information (ICE) and a headtorch during the run.

A tail jogger sweeps the course to ensure all participants are accounted for. The event organizers provide manual timing at the finish line. Results are traditionally published online within 48 hours of the event's conclusion.

Participants receive a limited edition T-shirt and access to food and drink after the run, including hot tea and hot chocolate served from a horsebox. This special edition includes an egg hunt at the end of the course; the official finish time is recorded only after the participant finds an egg and reports to the timer.

On-site parking is limited, and marshals provide instructions for vehicle placement. Total participant capacity for this event is set at 30 places. Registration fees vary based on membership in the TRA or UKA, with a surcharge for non-members. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
