Boreham, United Kingdom • 1 Apr 2026

Event details

The event is a 10k trail run called the Easter Egg edition to mark the reopening of the Galloping Grind for the 2026 season. It takes place in Chelmsford at The Galloping Grind and is limited to 30 entrants. The organiser is Multisport Management. The TRA permit number is listed as TBC. Non-TRA and non-UKA members pay a £2 levy. The route is predominantly anti-clockwise and a GPX/Strava route is available.

Race information, facilities and rules

Race numbers will be issued by email before the run with maps and route information. Race numbers must be worn on the front, unfolded, because manual timing may be used and numbers must be visible for a time to be recorded. Participants are encouraged to wear high-visibility or reflective clothing for a dusk race. Carrying a mobile phone with ICE details and a headtorch is compulsory. Parking on site is limited; marshals will direct parking and cycling or car-sharing is suggested. A limited-edition T-shirt is provided to participants. Food and hot drinks will be available from a horsebox at the finish; runners must have their finish time recorded and hand in their race number to claim food. An on-site chocolate egg hunt is included and the official finish time is only confirmed after a runner has found an egg. A tail jogger will sweep the course and a finish-line timer will be in place. Results will be posted within 48 hours. Entry prices are £19 until 01 Jan 2026 and £20 until 28 Feb 2026; a service fee of 4% (minimum 50p) applies.
