Nuclear Fallout

Nuclear Fallout is a winter obstacle race held at Nuclear Races in Brentwood, Essex. The event uses farmland, woodland, lakes and muddy terrain with a mix of natural and man made obstacles, including a notable 20 foot Deathslide and water features.

Three main formats are offered:

  • 6 km course, approx. 40+ obstacles, age 14+
  • 12 km course, approx. 70+ obstacles, age 16+
  • 24 km+ Oblivion MAXX, approx. 200+ obstacles, age 17+

The 6 km and 12 km options are chip timed and allow participants to walk, crawl or run at their own pace; there are no penalties for skipping obstacles on these distances. The Oblivion MAXX is a lap style endurance event with a larger obstacle total and specific competitive and non competitive entry arrangements. All three formats include amenities such as hot washdowns, changing facilities, buoyancy aids for water obstacles, free parking, a finishers medal and free finisher photos. Spectators are welcome and the event village provides viewing areas, food and merchandise.

Public transport access is described as approximately 15 minutes from Brentwood station or Epping Underground by train and taxi. The event page lists past results and course maps for reference. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
