Nuclear Fallout is an obstacle course race held in Brentwood, Essex. The event takes place on a permanent course situated on rugged farmland and woodland, featuring a variety of terrain including lakes, bogs, and muddy ditches. Participants navigate a mix of natural and man-made obstacles designed to test strength, agility, and endurance.
The event offers three distinct distance options to accommodate different experience levels:
- 6 km: Includes over 40 obstacles and is open to participants aged 14 and over.
- 12 km: Features over 70 obstacles and is open to participants aged 16 and over.
- 24 km+ (Oblivion MAXX): An multi-lap endurance format consisting of three or more laps of the course, featuring over 200 obstacles in total.
Course Features and Facilities
The course includes signature elements such as the Deathslide, a 20-foot slide, alongside woodland trails and water-based challenges. Buoyancy aids are available for participants during water obstacles. The event is chip-timed, and results are available on the day of the race.
Participants have access to on-site facilities including a hot washdown area, changing rooms, a secure bag drop, and a free car park. An event village is established for spectators, offering music, food, and drinks. Professional photographers are stationed along the course to capture action shots and finisher photos.
