Nuclear Fallout

Nuclear Fallout is a winter obstacle event held at the Nuclear Races site in Brentwood, Essex. The event is staged on farmland with woodland, lakes, bogs and wide muddy sections. It uses a permanent course with a mix of natural and man-made obstacles.

Distances available:

• 6 km, age 14+, 40+ obstacles
• 12 km, age 16+, 70+ obstacles
• 24 km plus Oblivion MAXX, age 17+, 200+ obstacles

The 6 km and 12 km formats are lapped courses over rugged terrain and include more than 40 and 70 obstacles respectively. The Oblivion MAXX covers three laps of a 6 km circuit and combines high-intensity natural and man-made obstacles across each lap. Signature course features include water obstacles, zip-wire entries into water, a travelator and a large slide.

Racing is chip timed; some formats offer competitive or non-competitive timing options and allow racers to complete or skip individual obstacles. Practical event facilities listed for all formats include hot washdowns, changing facilities, buoyancy aids for water obstacles, free parking, free bag drop, free finisher photos and spectator access.
