ATW St Albans Summer 10k

The ATW St Albans Summer 10k takes place in St Albans, Hertfordshire, featuring a course that starts and finishes in Highfield Park. The event is centered around an event village that includes live music, a cafe, and a kids zone. Participants can also take part in a free family fun run open to all ages.

The 10k race follows a single-lap route and is chip-timed. Most of the course is traffic-free and set on tarmac. After starting in the park, the route heads along the Alban Way, a flat, tree-lined disused railway line. The course continues towards Hatfield, performs a loop via Sleapshyde, and returns to Highfield Park for a grass-surface finish. Professional pacers are available on the course to assist runners in meeting their time goals.

Participants receive several amenities as part of their entry:

  • 10 km
  • Free event photography
  • Custom designed finisher medal
  • Finish line snacks and goodies

The event supports Alzheimer's Research UK as its partner charity. Facilities at the venue include parking (available for a fee depending on ground conditions) and proximity to St Albans City Station, which is situated 1.5 miles from the park. The race is open to entrants aged 15 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
