Brutal - Halloween @ Hogmoor

Brutal - Halloween at Hogmoor is an evening community running event set on a former military training area now used for recreation. The course uses looped laps so participants can choose from different distances and formats.

Distances and formats:

  • 3.3K kids loop, children aged 10 and under must be accompanied
  • 6.6K two laps, minimum age 10
  • 10K three laps, minimum age 13
  • 6.6K Canicross two laps for runners with dogs

The terrain includes short sandy hills, areas of mud and shallow water. The site has oversized human statues that contribute to the Halloween atmosphere and a playground on site. Fancy dress is encouraged. Races take place after dark so a torch is required.

Parking at the venue is free and refreshments will be available. A medal is awarded to all finishers. Entry fees vary by distance, age and booking date with early bird and standard rates. Juniors are those under 16 on race day. Age categories classify 39 and under as Senior and 40 and over as Veteran. Entries may be withdrawn up to the Thursday prior to the event and withdrawn entries are credited to the entrant account for use at another Brutal event rather than refunded.
