Brutal - Halloween @ Hogmoor

The event is an annual evening Halloween run at Hogmoor. The site is described as a purpose built Brutal playground formed by past Army use and now used as a public recreational area. The layout includes varied terrain and on-site facilities.

Course options include a short loop for children and longer loop totals for older participants. Adults may run the first lap with a child and then continue for additional laps if they choose. Race numbers are collected on the day.

  • 3.3K kids loop, children aged 10 and under must be accompanied
  • 6.6K two laps, minimum age 10
  • 10K three laps, minimum age 13
  • 6.6K Canicross two laps, separate category available

The terrain features short sandy hills, areas of mud and stretches of shallow water. The course area contains oversized human statues that contribute to the Halloween theme. A playground is on site for children. Fancy dress is actively encouraged and the races take place after dark, so participants are advised to bring a head torch. Parking at the venue is free and refreshments will be available on site. A medal is awarded to all finishers. Entry categories note juniors are under 16 on race day and age groups separate at 40 years, with those 40 and over classed as veterans.

There is a withdrawal option before the event that converts the entry fee to credit for another Brutal event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
