Witterings Beach Run
The Witterings Beach Run takes place along West Wittering Beach in Chichester. The course runs on a Blue Flag coastline with wide sandy flats at low tide and coastal views toward Selsey Bill, the Isle of Wight, Chichester Harbour, the Solent and the South Downs.
Routes combine beach running with sections of trails and gravel paths. The longest route includes a lap of Medmerry Nature Reserve using its wide gravel paths. The course is fully signed with pink arrows and tape and hazards and road junctions are marked. On-course water stations and chip timing are provided.
Amenities for finishers include a high-quality metal medal, a finisher goodie and a refreshing drink, plus a personalised certificate. The event offers first aid cover, course marshals and an event photographer. The organiser operates a plastic free policy so runners should bring a reusable cup or bottle for water stations.
Canicross entries allow one dog per runner; participants are asked to bring waste bags, water and an appropriate lead. Parking information is available via the West Wittering Estate website.
