Witterings Beach Run
Witterings Beach Run takes place on West Wittering Beach in Chichester. The route runs along a Blue Flag coastline with panoramic views of Selsey Bill, the Isle of Wight, Chichester Harbour, the Solent and the South Downs. At low tide the extensive sandy flats form the main running surface and the course uses nearby trails and off road paths.
On-course water stations are provided along each distance. The event is chip timed and includes first aid cover. Runners receive a metal finisher medal, a refreshment drink, finisher goodies and a personalised certificate after crossing the finish area.
The event is dog friendly with a one dog per runner policy. Organisers advise participants to bring poo bags, water and an appropriate lead for canicross runners. The course will be signed with pink arrows and pink tape; hazards and road junctions will be marked with caution signs.
Practical arrangements include bib collection at registration on arrival and a plastic free approach at water stations, so participants should bring a reusable cup or bottle. Parking is available through the West Wittering Estate. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
