The Dark Dorset 10 is a twilight off-road trail race held on Saturday 8 November 2025 at Eastbury Park, Tarrant Gunville, Blandford, Dorset (DT11 8JQ). The event is a 10 km course with the start and finish in the park in front of Eastbury House. Medals, trophies and refreshments are provided. Canicross is not permitted. Entries are limited to 200.

Course and location

The route is entirely off-road. It leads through woods into the park at Chettle, passes Bloody Shard Gate and the Chettle Long barrow, then returns to Eastbury Park. Bloody Shard Gate is associated with a historical skirmish in local lore. The event information also refers to local ghost stories linked to sections of the course.

Directions note: Eastbury Park is reached from the A354 Blandford to Salisbury road at Tarrant Hinton; follow the turn signposted Tarrant Gunville and the entrance is 2.5 km after the turn.
