The Dark Dorset 10 is a twilight off-road running event offering a 10 km distance. Canicross is not permitted. Entries are limited to 200.

Course

The route is entirely off-road. Runners follow paths through woods into the park at Chettle, return past Bloody Shard Gate, and pass the Chettle Long barrow before finishing back at Eastbury Park. The route description includes local ghost stories associated with Bloody Shard Gate and the Eastbury Park drive, including an account of a headless horseman said to appear at midnight.

Location and access

Eastbury Park is reached from the A354 Blandford to Salisbury road at Tarrant Hinton.
