Event overview
Stort30 is a 30 mile ultramarathon held on 25 October 2026 on the border of Hertfordshire and Essex along the River Stort and Lee navigations. The course is an out-and-back of 15 miles each way. Course and checkpoints
The route is mostly grassy trail and graded footpath with the first 0.5 mile on footpath or tarmac and the final 0.5 mile on the return. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options may be available but cross-contamination cannot be guaranteed. Key checkpoint locations include Sheering Mill Lane (5.4 miles), Burnt Mill Lane (9.6 miles) and Rye House (turnaround, 15 miles).
