Stort30 is a 30-mile ultramarathon organized by Challenge Running, set on the Hertfordshire–Essex border along the River Stort and the Lee Navigation. The course is flat and mostly grassy, running 15 miles out and back from Bishop’s Stortford to the Rye House area, with a turnaround at the halfway point. Runners pass check points every roughly 5 miles with water, squash, snacks and occasional hot bites. The event uses a cupless policy to reduce plastic waste, features electronic timing with live results, and finishes at the clubhouse with post-race tea, coffee and showers, plus finisher medals, age-group prizes and overall trophies.
