Huffer Puffer Trail Race

The Huffer Puffer Trail Race is a self-navigation trail running event held near Littley Green, Chelmsford. Covering approximately 6 miles, the course traverses trails, tracks, and country lanes. Participants receive a written route description on race day, as the course is unmarked and without marshals or GPS support.

The race starts between 6pm and 7pm from The Compasses pub garden, which also serves as the race headquarters with parking available nearby. Entry fees are £7 for affiliated runners and £9 for unaffiliated, including a £3 drinks voucher to enjoy at the pub. A 5K self navigational trail run at Nuclear Essex on 14 February supporting the British Heart Foundation. Participants follow a checkpoint route, are asked to wear something red and receive hot chocolate and Jammie Dodgers at the finish.
