Search For Santa : Littley Green
Search For Santa is a night trail event on 16 December 2026 covering about 6 miles. It uses a written route description issued on the day; there are no course markings, marshals or GPX files. The event is not a mass start and participants will be timed out and recorded at the finish.
The route includes a secret destination where participants must solve a cryptic clue to earn time bonuses and can stop for a refreshment. Along the way runners will look for Santas and other features, including chocolate. Prizes may be awarded for quirky dress, behaviour and sense of humour.
Race headquarters is at The Compasses, Littley Green. Entry fees are £11 for affiliated runners and £13 for unaffiliated runners, plus a 50p booking fee; entry includes two £3 vouchers. Confirmation of entry will be sent by email if an address is supplied. Results will be posted on essextrailevents.com.
To allow groups to run together it is possible to book more than once under one name, but the organiser requires full details for each additional person before the closing date or they will not be allowed to participate. There are no refunds for any reason. As this is a night trail, participants must wear hi viz clothing, carry a head torch or torch and have a mobile phone.
