Running Tribe Races

Running Tribe Races are a series of looped running events held at two venues in Buckinghamshire: Chalfont Park Sports Club, Chalfont St Peter SL9 0QA, and Chalfont St Peter Community Centre, Gerrards Cross SL9 9QX.

The event uses 7K or 10K loops which allow participants to choose their distance on the day. Runners may complete a single loop or multiple laps up to an ultra distance. The loop format provides easy access to a personal drop bag for testing kit, nutrition, and pacing strategies. Courses 1 to 3 use a 10.8K loop that is approximately 80% trail and 20% road and includes public footpaths and woodland. Elevation on that loop is about 2,100 ft over six laps.

Courses and distances

  • Courses 1, 2 & 3: 10K, Half Marathon, Marathon, 40-mile Ultra
  • Courses 4, 5 & 6: 7K, 14K, Half Marathon, Marathon, 30-mile Ultra

Event facilities include an aid station at the start and finish offering water, soft drinks, and vegan or vegetarian food. Courses are clearly marked with well signposted road crossings. Pacers are welcome, crew support is permitted on the course, and qualified medical support will be available.

Prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each distance category listed above. Entry is open to all abilities; participants should be comfortable walking or running at least 7K. Recommended kit includes a water bottle of at least 500 ml, a fully charged mobile phone, a head torch for winter events, weather appropriate clothing, and a reusable cup.
