The Chiltern Ridge Winter 50K is a single-loop trail race held in the Chilterns, with the start and finish at Berkhamsted Cricket Club. The next edition is on 1 November 2025. The event distance is 50K with approximately 800 m of elevation gain. The maximum field is 250 runners and the overall time limit is 9 hours. The race is licensed by the Trail Running Association and is listed on the UTMB World Series index. Entry fee is £75 (£73 for UKA affiliated runners); the minimum age to enter is 20. Course, aid stations and logistics

The route follows Berkhamsted Common to Ashridge Estate, joins The Ridgeway National Trail through Aldbury and on to Wendover, then returns via the Chiltern Way and finishes back in Berkhamsted. Navigation is marked with orange arrows and ribbons; marshals will be positioned at road crossings and key points. Runners must carry a digital GPX of the route and a paper map is provided at registration.

There are three full checkpoints at Aldbury Sports Ground (18 km, WC), Runaway HQ Wendover (30.8 km, WC) and Wigginton (41.2 km). Each checkpoint supplies water, Coke, Precision Fuel & Hydration products (pre-mixed PH1000, PF30 gels and chews), snacks, flapjacks and fresh fruit. Required kit includes a mobile phone, waterproof jacket, warm hat and gloves, additional dry layer, head torch, GPX on device, refillable hydration (0.5 L min) and payment method.
