The Chiltern Ridge Winter 50K is an autumn/winter single-loop trail race on Saturday 31 October 2026. The route starts and finishes at Berkhamsted Cricket Club and covers 50K with around 800 m of elevation. The course runs through Berkhamsted Common and National Trust's Ashridge Estate, follows The Ridgeway National Trail to Aldbury and Wendover, then returns via the Chiltern Way and woodland tracks to Berkhamsted.

The race is fully marked with orange arrows and ribbons, and marshals are positioned at several road crossings and busier sections. Aid locations include Beacon Road (water only at 11.9 km), Aldbury Sports Ground (17.7 km), Runaway HQ Wendover (30.8 km) and Wigginton Village Hall (41.4 km); aid stations supply water, soft drinks, Precision Fuel & Hydration products, snacks and fresh fruit.

The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and is UTMB World Series indexed. Maximum entry is 350 runners, the minimum age is 20 years, dogs are not permitted, and a 9-hour overall time limit applies. Required kit includes a waterproof jacket, warm hat and gloves, additional dry layer, head torch, mobile phone, route GPX and paper map, and a refillable hydration system.
