Thames Path Ultra Challenge

The Thames Path Ultra Challenge follows the Thames towpath from Putney Bridge to Henley-on-Thames. The full continuous route is 100 km and passes Richmond, Hampton Court, Runnymede, and Windsor, finishing by the river in Henley. The event is part of a riverside weekend festival that includes a Thames Bridges 25 km trek and a Thames Moonlight 10 event.

Multiple distance and format options are offered, including day-and-night and two-day daylight formats, with an optional campsite near the half-way point and hotel choices. There are also specific categories for walkers and faster runners: the Ultra March category and the Trailblazerz category.

Event support includes covered rest stops approximately every 12.5 km, larger marquee rest stops about every 25 km, catering with meals and snacks included, medical teams, podiatrists, and massage services. The route is fully signed with numerous waymarkers and an app that provides GPS tracking, maps, training guides, and timing scans at rest stops. Shuttle buses and transfers are available to local stations and key venues. Finish-line provision includes a finisher medal, T-shirt, a glass of fizz, a finishers meal, and an official challenge certificate.

The event offers entries for individuals and teams, charity fundraising and self-funding options, and corporate team participation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
