Thames Path Ultra Challenge
The Thames Path Ultra Challenge is a multi-distance trek and trail event along the River Thames taking place on 12/13 Sept 2026. The full route runs from Putney Bridge to Henley and passes through Richmond, Hampton Court, Runnymede, and Windsor, finishing by the riverside. The event expects over 3,000 participants at the Putney Bridge start.

Rest stops are provided approximately every 12.5 km with major rest stops about every 25 km. Covered marquees, catering, seating, changing areas, medical and welfare tents are listed among the support facilities. Food and drink are included on route, with snacks at roughly 12.5 km intervals and meals at roughly 25 km intervals; dietary requirements are catered for and lighter options are available for runners.
An app provides GPS tracking and route maps, while a timing system logs progress at rest stops and a control room monitors participants. Additional services mentioned include camping packages, shuttle buses and transfers, podiatrists, massage teams, and a finisher’s package of medal, T shirt and a celebratory drink.
