Thames Path Ultra Challenge : 12 and 13 September 2026

The Thames Path Ultra Challenge is a multi-distance trek and trail event following the Thames towpath between Putney Bridge and Henley-on-Thames. The continuous full route runs upstream through Richmond, Hampton Court, Runnymede and Windsor to a riverside finish in Henley. The weekend also forms part of a Thames Path festival of riverside events.

Event services include marquee-covered rest stops approximately every 12.5 km, larger rest stops every ~25 km, and on-site catering with meals and snacks included. Medical, podiatry and massage support are provided at rest stops, and an emergency medical team is available via the event Control Room. The route is fully signed with arrows and night glow-sticks, and GPS tracking is available through the event App. Timing scans log progress at rest stops. Camping packages, shuttle transfers to local stations, and finish-line items such as a medal, finisher T shirt, a finishers meal and a glass of fizz are offered. Trail runs nearby

Trail running on 31 January 2026 at Hound House Road in Surrey with 10 km and 15 km routes over hilly mixed terrain. Parking, toilets and refreshments are available; entries close 29 January 2026.

Nighttime street orienteering in Basildon as part of the Essex Winter Midweek Series 2025/26. MapRun is used and two score-format courses are offered with series points awarded using an age and gender handicap system.

Drama Llama Run on the Thames towpath offers timed laps on a flat 5.3 km out and back course with a seven hour limit and a flexible start window. Pick 5 km to ultra and enjoy race support, same day results and a finisher medal.

Celebrate Valentine's Day with riverside laps along the scenic Thames at Xcel SPORTS HUB. Choose 5k to ultra, run as many laps as you like within a one hour start window and 7 hour limit, and earn a bespoke finisher medal.
