The course begins in the historic market town of Leighton Buzzard and initially completes an anti-clockwise lap of Tiddenfoot Waterside Park. It then follows the Grand Union Canal towpath north to Stoke Hammond, climbs through countryside to Great Brickhill, passes through Rushmere Country Park woodland, follows the Greensand Ridge back toward the start via the canal towpath, and finishes with a clockwise lap of Tiddenfoot Waterside Park. Surfaces on the route include tow path, off-road hills and woods, and a boggy flood plain. The event uses marshals and volunteers along the route and provides first aid support.
