Wight Lines

Wight Lines is a hip hop themed running event on the coastal path at Milford on Sea, with views of the Isle of Wight, The Needles and Sturt Pond Nature Reserve. The course uses mixed terrain along the coast and follows an out and back format.

Distances are flexible and participants may choose from a range of options, including:

  • 5K to ultra-marathon
  • Lap: 5.3 km / 3.28 miles out and back

The event operates a lap-based format with an aid station at the start and finish of each lap offering a variety of sweet and savoury snacks and drinks. The event is cupless and participants should bring their own drinking vessel. Number pick-up takes place on the day at race registration. Bag drop is provided at the race HQ (pink gazebo) and public toilets are available at the start and finish area and on the route. Each participant receives a hip hop, Wu-Tang and Isle of Wight inspired mash-up medal and a themed soundtrack is provided during the event.

The event is licensed by the TRA and will be run under UKA rules; distance restrictions apply to participants aged 20 or under. Paid parking is available at the start and finish. Nearest train stations are New Milton and Lymington Town and local bus services have limited schedules on weekends. Final instructions are sent by email before the event.
