Trail Running calendar near Milnthorpe 2026-2027

A 24 hour ultra from Prestatyn along the Offa's Dyke Path where solo runners and teams aim to reach the furthest south point in the allotted time. Six staffed checkpoints, GPS tracking and a mandatory kit list support participants.

A multi-distance event on 8 May 2027 at UCLAN Sports Arena using a 5K loop for 5K, 10K, half, marathon and timed ultra options.

A trail race from Studley Roger near Ripon following the Ripon Rowel with routes of 14.2, 23 and 35.1 miles visiting Fountains Abbey and valley woods.

A flat out and back trail event along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal in Gargrave, North Yorkshire, offering 5k, 10k, half marathon and marathon distances with water stations, marshals, signage and bespoke finisher medals.

A 50-mile point-to-point trail from Kendal to Preston on 15 May 2027 with seven checkpoints, mandatory kit, participant tracking and a 13 hour cut-off. Pre-registration only, entry fee £95 and registration closes 9 May.

Three mixed terrain distances around Derwent Reservoir in May, including a closed road 10 mile lap; canicross is allowed on the 5 km and 5 mile routes.

A circa 13.2 mile trail half marathon around Black Hambleton and Silton Woods near Osmotherley, with varied terrain, one checkpoint, a bespoke medal and a four hour time limit.

A 5 km muddy obstacle course at Birkenhead Park featuring climbing, crawling and sliding. Organised by Cancer Research UK, the event uses staggered wave starts and requires participants to be 13 or older.

A canal-side running event in Saltaire offering 5K, 10K and half marathon distances on scenic Yorkshire routes, with finishers receiving a jumble medal, hot food and a drink.

The 42nd Calderdale Way Relay is a six-leg off-road team relay on 16 May 2027, starting at Clay House in West Vale and finishing at Spring Hall, with entries opening December 2026.
