Quarry Bank Trail 10K

The Quarry Bank Trail 10K is scheduled for 19 May 2026 and is a one-lap trail race of approximately 10 km set within the National Trust grounds of Quarry Bank Mill, the surrounding village and Styal woods. The 2026 route has been altered because of the closure of Giants Castle Bridge and entries for this edition were limited.

The course runs over undulating terrain and includes mixed surfaces: trail, grass, tarmac, gravel and steps. Distance is approximate and subject to final confirmation. The event is licensed by TRA and is run under UKA Athletics rules. Minimum age for entry is 16 years.

Race facilities listed by the organiser include chip timing, a bespoke finisher medal, post race snack, first aid, toilets, free parking at Race HQ and free baggage storage. Bike storage is available at Quarry Bank Mill. Results are published immediately on Nifty Entries and entrants who provided a mobile number may receive an SMS at the finish with their time.

Entries were capped at 400 places for 2026 because of the altered course. When open, transfers were permitted either to another person or to a virtual race option usable up to one month after race day. Prize awards cover the top three male and female finishers based on gun times and veteran prizes based on chip times across V35 to V85+ in five year increments plus first U20. Two pounds from every entry supports Quarry Bank Mill. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
