Scorton Trail Run

The Scorton Trail Run takes place in the village of Scorton, near Preston. The event features two distinct distance options that primarily follow a network of tracks and fields through the local landscape. Participants travel through the countryside and reach the heights of Nicky Nook, which provides expansive views over much of Lancashire.

The event offers the following distances:

  • 10 km
  • 15 km

Both routes are fully marked to assist with navigation. To support participants along the course, the 10 km route includes one checkpoint, while the 15 km route features two checkpoints.

The terrain consists mainly of off-road paths, including tracks and field crossings. The event base is located at Gubberford Lane in Scorton. Registration is open to both members of UK Athletics and non-members, with specific entry fees applicable to each category.

Online entries are managed through a pre-entry system, with a registration deadline set for a few days before the event date. Participants also have the option to include refund protection during the entry process to cover unforeseen circumstances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
