Cottam Canter is scheduled for Saturday, 9 May 2026 at the UCLAN Sports Arena in Cottam, Preston, Lancashire (PR2 1SG). The event offers multiple race distances on a 5K loop course that uses the Lancaster canal towpath, canal locks, the millennium Ribble link, and paths through Haslam Park before returning to the sports arena. Entries are limited to 100 participants and close on 2 May 2026. Entry fees vary by distance and affiliation status: 5K £18 affiliated / £20 unattached; 10K £22 affiliated / £24 unattached; half marathon £26 affiliated / £28 unattached; marathon £30 affiliated / £32 unattached; ultra £36 affiliated / £38 unattached. The ultra is run as many laps as the runner wishes within a 6-hour limit; the last lap must start within 5 hours 15 minutes. Age rules require all participants to be over 18; ages 18-19 are limited to a maximum distance of marathon, while over-20s have no maximum distance.
