Race for Life Pretty Muddy Wirral

Race for Life Pretty Muddy at Birkenhead Park is a 5k obstacle event taking place on Sunday 17 May 2026. The course starts and finishes on grass and runs over a mixture of grass and tarmac paths. The route includes multiple mud obstacles where participants climb, crawl and slide at their own pace.

Entry fees listed are £22.49 for adults and £12.00 for children, with a minimum fundraising target of £50. Waves start every 15 minutes to manage flow on the course. Participants must be aged 13 and over to take part; separate Pretty Muddy Kids events are available for younger children.

The main meeting point is the field behind the Birkenhead sea cadets; the what3words location given for the start is ///blunt.wing.fall. Transport options include many local bus routes stopping at Birkenhead Park and a train station about a five minute walk away. There is no designated event parking and on-street parking near Ashville Road is limited.

On-site facilities include toilets and refreshments. Dogs, bag drop and showers are not available. The event is not suitable for wheelchair users or pushchairs. Registered participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training resources, access to an online community and a Race for Life medal on completion.
