Middlewich 5k and Fun Run
The Middlewich 5k and Family Fun Run takes place on Sunday 9 May 2027 in Middlewich. The main 5k route is mostly off road, following canals and town trails. The course is officially measured and chip timed. Although largely flat, the route includes the Middlewich 3 Lock Challenge. The course is not on closed roads and members of the public have access to sections of the route.
The event uses The Big Lock Pub for the race start and Middlewich Cricket Club for the finish, registration and on-site refreshments. Additional refreshments are available at The Big Lock. All finishers in the 5k and the family fun run receive a medal and a goody bag.
Distances
- 5 km race, age 16 and over, maximum 230 entries
- Family Fun Run, three laps of the cricket pitch, maximum 150 entries
Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers and to winners in selected veteran age groups (V40, V50 and V60). The organiser’s terms state that no refunds are given and that transfers are permitted until at least one week before the event. Participants must be medically fit to take part; organisers reserve the right to refuse or remove entrants, alter the course or cancel the event under their stated conditions.
