Pendle Cloughs Fell Race

Pendle Cloughs Fell Race is a marked fell race held from registration at Downham Village Hall (BB7 4BJ; grid ref SD787439). The course distance is 22.5 km / 14 miles with 1250 m / 4101 ft of climb. The route passes over rough moor with few paths and includes steep climbs; the final 2 miles descend to the finish.

The event is categorised AL, held under UKA rules and registered with the FRA. Full FRA mandatory kit must be carried; kit will be checked at registration and runners found without required kit at the finish will be disqualified. Checkpoint cut-off times are applied and runners arriving after those times are deemed out of the race and must return directly to the finish.

Pre-entry fees are £10 for FRA members and £14 for non-members; entry on the day fees are higher. Registration and car parking are at Downham Village Hall with additional parking at the village Information Centre; organisers advise car sharing. Minimum age for entry is 18.
