Oakworth Haul Fell Race

The Oakworth Haul is a low-key fell race held in Oakworth as part of the local town gala. The event takes place at the Oakworth Gala Field on Victoria Road and coincides with a day of community entertainment, featuring various stalls and activities. While the main race is for adults, the gala committee also organizes fun races for children on the day.

The course covers a distance of 9 km (5.6 miles) with a total ascent of 250 m (820 feet). The terrain involves a combination of steep climbs and technical descents, balanced with faster running sections to provide a varied experience. The route is marshalled by volunteers throughout.

Participants must be at least 18 years old on the day of the event. Because this is a short summer race, there is no mandatory kit requirement for runners. Registration is available via online pre-entry or on the day of the race at the venue.

The event is organized by Keighley & Craven AC. The start and finish area is located at the Gala Field, providing access to the wider festivities of the annual gala. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
