Beyond the Lune Skyline Ultra

The Beyond the Lune Skyline Ultra is a 65 km loop trail run on 20 June 2026 that starts and finishes in the centre of Kirkby Lonsdale at The Royal Barn (LA6 2AB, GB). The route accumulates about 2000 m of ascent, follows mainly footpaths and bridleways, and includes roughly 10 km of tarmac. The course passes seven summits and several local landmarks and contains technical sections.

Participants must be 18 or older. Entries open on 22 December 2025 and close on 14 June 2026. The published entry fee is £45. Competitors must be able to self navigate the whole loop using a map or GPS unit. The event provides a GPX file and operates two checkpoints with food and water.

Mandatory kit will be checked at registration and includes a rucksack or race vest or bum bag, running or trail shoes, waterproof jacket with hood and taped seams, waterproof overtrousers with taped seams, warm hat, gloves or mitts, survival bag, map or GPS unit, compass, whistle, a small first aid kit, plus water and food.

The Jeffrey's Mount Figure of Eight on Sat 11 Apr 2026 in the Lake District is a classic 7.8 km fell race with 530 m of climb that rewards stamina and navigation. On the day entry is £8 and proceeds support Macmillan Cancer Support.

Trail races in Hawkshead on 11th April 2026 with marked 10k and 16k routes, panoramic Lake District views and the mile-long Coffin Trail climb. Event HQ is at Hawkshead Recreation Ground with marshals, water stations and an event village.
