Beyond the Lune - Christmas Crumble Run
Beyond the Lune - Christmas Crumble Run is a trail running event in Kirkby Lonsdale that offers two route options and starts from The Barn, the tap house of Kirkby Lonsdale Brewery and Coffee Roasters in the town centre.

Both routes use local footpaths and bridleways around Casterton, Brownthwaite Pike (also called Bullpot), Devils Bridge and a riverside path. The courses include on and off road sections, steep fell road contouring, a trig point and cairn, and the radical steps near the finish. On a clear day there are views over the Lune Valley and the Lake District and Blackpool Tower may be visible.
The 10 km route is fully signed and marshalled. The 20 km route is partially signed and requires the ability to self navigate due to potential reduced visibility. Participants receive a GPX file of their route, a free pastry and hot drink at the start, Beyond the Lune merchandise, a seasonal Christmas Crumble Box and a finishers beer.
Minimum age is 16; those aged 16 to 18 must run with an adult. The cut off time for both runs is 1pm. Entry fee for each distance is £25. Entries open 20 August 2026 and close 14 December 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
