Lakeland Paws - Grizedale Growl

Lakeland Paws runs a series of canicross events in the forests of the Lake District. The Grizedale Growl is one of the Grizedale route options offered within the 2026/2027 fifth series of events. Events in the series take place on the first Sunday of each month and feature routes across three forest locations.

This event format involves participants running with their dogs on marked forest trails. Routes are based in Grizedale forest and are presented alongside other Lakeland Paws routes such as west and east side variations and a tour option. The series is organised by Green Space Events Ltd. Photography for Lakeland Paws is credited to Steve Ashworth Media.

Information about specific route layouts, distance options, entry details, and any equipment requirements is provided on the Lakeland Paws events and entry pages. The event emphasises use of forest trails in the Lake District and is part of a regular monthly series rather than a standalone one-off race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
