Beyond the Lune Summer Trails

Beyond the Lune Summer Trails takes place on 20 June 2026 at The Royal Barn in Kirkby Lonsdale, LA6 2AB. The event offers three waymarked trail distances that start from The Barn, which houses Kirkby Lonsdale Brewery and a coffee roastery.

The distances:

  • 10 km - local footpaths and bridleways around Bullpot and riverside.
  • 5 km - riverside route towards Casterton golf club, out-and-back.

Routes combine on and off road sections, use local footpaths and bridleways, and include river paths and the nearby '99' steps. The longer route visits Brownthwaite Pike (Bullpot) and offers elevated viewpoints over the Lune Valley and toward the Lake District.

Entries open 23 December 2025 and close 15 June 2026. Entry fees are listed per distance and U13 entries are free when accompanied by an adult, with a maximum of two children per adult. Under 16s may participate only when running with a parent or guardian. The cutoff time for all runs is 1pm.
