Pooley Bridge Wild Trail Runs Saturday 13 June 2026

The event returns to the Lake District on Saturday 13 June 2026 in the village of Pooley Bridge at Waterside Farm and Waterside Campsite, Pooley Bridge, Penrith CA10 2NA. The campsite provides a base with lake and mountain views and access to the course.

Event distances include:

  • Half Marathon Trail Run: 13.1 miles (21.1 km)
  • 10 km Trail Run: 6.2 miles (10 km)

Route maps are available to view and download. Routes are subject to change and final versions will be emailed to participants a few days before the event.

The event is Cani Cross friendly. Participants may run with one well controlled dog that wears an appropriate harness and remains on a lead at all times.

Live chip timing will be used, provided by Timing Up North, to produce race results. All finishers receive a bespoke finisher medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a snack. A custom event T shirt is offered as an optional extra for £12.

Parking will be available on site for £5 with further directions and access details provided in the pre race information pack.

The event will support Patterdale Mountain Rescue, a volunteer mountain rescue service covering the Ullswater area. Donations can be made at registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

A hill trail event in Cockermouth featuring a 6 km multi terrain adult race with a timed summit contest and separate junior races with medals sponsored by Holmen. The event is chip timed and has limited parking.

A short, sharp fell race over 3 miles with 820 ft of ascent around Latterbarrow. The event takes place in May with junior and senior starts. Entry is available on the day.

Weekend 9 is a waymarked 25 km trail event in the Howgill Fells with about 1500 m of ascent. It offers loaded, runner and walker categories, staffed checkpoints and a downloadable GPX file for navigation.

A traditional fell race of 6.74 miles (10.8 km) with 412 m ascent around Hutton Roof Crags and Farleton Knott, requiring navigation, three checkpoints and a 2h15 time limit under FRA rules; junior races and a country fair accompany the even..
