Pooley Bridge Wild Trail Runs

The event takes place in the village of Pooley Bridge at the northern tip of Ullswater. It is based at Waterside Farm / Waterside Campsite, which provides lake and mountain views and direct access to the course.

Two trail distances are offered:

  • Half Marathon: 13.1 miles (21.1 km)
  • 10km Trail Run: 6.2 miles (10 km)

Route maps are available to view and download. Routes are subject to change and the final courses will be emailed a few days before the event.

The event is cani-cross friendly. Participants may run with one well controlled dog; dogs must wear an appropriate harness and remain on a lead at all times.

Live Chip Timing is used, provided by Timing Up North, so results are recorded electronically. All finishers receive a bespoke finisher’s medal, event merchandise, and a snack. A custom event t-shirt is offered as an optional extra for £12.

Parking is available on site for £5. Further access and parking details are provided in the pre-race information pack. A donation option is available at registration; the event supports Patterdale Mountain Rescue, a volunteer mountain rescue service operating in the Ullswater area.
