Pooley Bridge Wild Trail Runs

Wild Deer Events returns to the Lake District for the Pooley Bridge Wild Trail Runs on Saturday 5 June 2027. The event is based at Waterside Farm and Waterside Campsite in Pooley Bridge, at the northern tip of Ullswater in the Lake District.

Event distances include:

  • Half Marathon: 13.1 miles (21.1 km)
  • 10 km Trail Run: 6.2 miles (10 km)

Route maps are available to view and download before the race; routes are subject to change and the final routes will be emailed to participants a few days prior to the event. The event uses live chip timing for race results.

The event is Cani-Cross friendly. Participants may run with one well controlled dog; dogs must wear an appropriate harness and remain on a lead at all times.

Half marathon entrants must carry mandatory kit for safety including a backpack or running vest with water, a lightweight jacket, a fully charged mobile phone and gels or snacks. Organisers will carry out random kit checks.

All finishers receive a bespoke finisher medal, Wild Deer merchandise and a snack. A custom event t shirt is available as an optional extra for £12.50. On-site parking is available for £5.00. The event will support Patterdale Mountain Rescue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
