Pooley Bridge Wild Trail Runs

The Pooley Bridge Wild Trail Runs take place in the Lake District, based at Waterside House and campsite. The event is located at the northern tip of Ullswater, offering participants views of the lake and surrounding mountains. This trail running event features two distinct distances:

  • 10 km Trail Run (6.2 miles)
  • Half Marathon Trail Run (21.1 km)

The courses utilize the natural terrain of the area, and final route details are provided to participants in the days leading up to the event. The event is cani-cross friendly, allowing runners to compete with one well-controlled dog. Dogs are required to wear an appropriate harness and must remain on a lead throughout the duration of the run.

Participants are timed using a live chip timing system, providing immediate results upon completion. The finish line services include a bespoke medal for all finishers, along with merchandise and a snack for recovery. An optional event t-shirt is available for purchase during the registration process. On-site parking is provided for a fee of £5.00. The 10 km event is open to runners aged 15 and over, while the Half Marathon requires participants to be at least 17 years of age on the day of the race.
