La Sportiva Sunset Stroll

The La Sportiva Sunset Stroll is an evening route held as part of The Yomp weekend in Kirkby Stephen. It is scheduled on Friday during the three-day Yomp event that runs across 11 to 13 June 2027. The Stroll is one of six routes offered across the weekend alongside the Ultra, Mountain Marathon, 20k, 10k and 5k options.

The Yomp is a volunteer-run mountain challenge based at The Engine Shed, Pennine View Park, Kirkby Stephen, CA17 4SZ. The weekend includes a Basecamp area with food vendors, a beer tent, family activities and live music. Campers, campervans and caravans are welcome on site, and local hostels and B and Bs are nearby.

The event is organised to raise funds for local charities and community causes; over one hundred and ten thousand pounds has been donated to date. Free event parking is provided at Station Yard in Kirkby Stephen, a short walk from Basecamp, and participants are encouraged to use town car parks to reduce congestion.

The La Sportiva Sunset Stroll takes place within this broader festival of running, walking and outdoor activity. It shares the volunteer-led organisation, charitable focus and community atmosphere that characterise The Yomp. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
