The Rab Pinnacle Ridge Extreme takes place on 18 July 2026 in Patterdale on and around the Helvellyn massif in the English Lake District. The route is 28 km long with 2700 m of ascent. Entry and requirements

Entries open 4 October 2025 and close 5 July 2026. The event uses pre-selection lists to allocate places; pre-selection entry requires no payment and applicants are notified if offered a place. Minimum age on race day is 19. Entry fees are listed as £110, rising to £120 from 01/01/2026 and £130 from 01/04/2026. Applicants must detail mountain running, race and scrambling experience for review. Required evidence includes completion of several named mountain races or runs of about 18 miles / 30 km or more in the last five years (examples given), or significant mountain enchainments or rounds. Significant rock climbing or high-grade scrambling experience is also required. Applications are usually reviewed within 96 hours. The Race Director has final discretion on acceptance and may expel competitors who deliberately misrepresent their experience.
