The Rab Pinnacle Ridge Extreme is scheduled for 18 July 2026 in Patterdale, on and around the Helvellyn Massif in the English Lake District (UNESCO status). The course is 28 km long with 2700 m of ascent. The route includes technical ground, hands-on rock sections and scrambling, and is described as a skyrace line with steep, rocky terrain. The course will be fully marked and will use GPS tracking and timing by Open Tracking. The entry fee includes a post-race meal with vegan, gluten-free and meat options, a compostable finishers’ medal, and a professional safety officer with a mountain-qualified safety team.

Entry, requirements and administration

Entries open 4 October 2025 and close 5 July 2026. Minimum age on race day is 19. Entry fees are listed at £110, rising to £120 from 01/01/2026 and £130 from 01/04/2026. Entry applications are reviewed before payment is taken; applicants must detail mountain running, race and scrambling experience for review by the Race Director. Required evidence includes completion of several named mountain races or runs of around 30 km or more within the past five years or significant mountain challenges, and significant rock climbing or solo scrambling experience. The Race Director has the final decision on entry and may refuse or revoke entry for misleading claims. Optional paid extras are available for entrants.
