Course and entry

Seniors and Under-17 competitors descend to a field corner along the bottom edge, then return over the top of Flan Fell to the finish. The 2025 event introduced a new course layout in Ulverston. Competitors are asked to arrive from the east via Town Bank Road and to exit west via Old Hall Road. Entry on the day is available; pre-entry is not offered.
