The Ulverston Fell Race, organized by the British Open Fell Runners Association, takes place in Ulverston at Beckside Farm on Old Hall Road. The 2025 event features a new course starting beside the farm, following a route alongside a beck before climbing to the top of Flan Fell. Younger runners (U14) turn at the summit, while seniors and U17s continue down to a field corner, then back over Flan Fell to the finish. The race covers approximately 1.85 miles (2.8 km) with a climb of 540 feet (160 meters).
