Lakeland Paws: Grizedale Growl

Lakeland Paws runs a trail event in Grizedale Forest on the east side of the forest as part of its fifth season. The course is fully marked and chip timed, and GPX files are available for download. The route is on wide forest paths and is described as more runnable than some other events in the series.

There are two course options:

10K : loop with 260 m of ascent.
6K : shorter loop with 150 m of ascent, recommended for beginners or those seeking a shorter route for their dogs.

Runners may bring up to two dogs each; all dogs must run on a suitable harness. Runners may also compete without dogs. There are no cutoffs for the event. Minimum age to enter is 16 or older. Entry fee is £20. The event is the second Lakeland Paws event at Grizedale in the same season. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
